Das Mannheimer Wetter!

So it has been SSOSOSOOOO warm here lately! Get this, the temperature reached a high of 57 yesterday! WOW! I was so loving it outside... taking a nice stroll through the warm city weather :P :P

I was just wondering how all of my friends and family were doing in the cold cold cold Michigan snow! MUUAHAHAH!!

Thanks for the blog comments blogger(s)! Nice to see some activity around here.

Yes, I have been doing some great cooking lately. I'm even surprising myself! What I have found is that, with basic cooking skills and some good spices, it is quite easy to follow any simple recipe! WoooHHOOO!!! It's a miracle!

On another note, unfortunately it seems as though my WG (apartment) in Berlin has fallen through, back to www.wg-gesucht.de!

I have re-written my profile so it is in both German AND English, hoping to appeal to a larger audience. In addition, my 'initial contact email' will now be in German. Perhaps I was scaring away potential roommates with my frightening English letter??

Still, I'm not too worried about finding a place. There seems to be a good assortment of apartments available, perhaps I'll just have to be a little less picky.

Well, maybe no need for those ear plugs in the next apartment. Wowie zowie on the cooking, you are looking like a goumet cook from those pictures. Always reading and keeping up with what's happening. Hay! to Matze

Lucky you on the warm weather! We have been freezing our collective hinterns off! (Hope that translation is correct...if not I meant to say esel, Gesäßmuskel, hinterteil...you get the idea!)
Yesterday I saw the high reach 14, but the windchill brought it down to -4. Today is supposed to reach a high of 8! Eight!Acht! Come on, really?! Eight? Oy!
Anyway, I feel like Ralphie's little brother in The Christmas Story..."I can't put my arms down!" Okay, Okay...enough griping about the weather...
Love that you're cooking a lot. I love cooking. The best part is when the people you love sit down to eat and the whole room goes silent...except for the slurping and munching and mumbled rave reviews through mouths-full of food. That's my favorite.
Sorry to hear about your flat falling through...I heard via the grapevine that you found another already and are on your way to Berlin. Anxious to see pics and hear news as it unfolds on that front. Good idea on the profile re-write. I'm gonna have to go back and check that out!
News here? Kris and I now have matching Subaru Foresters; his is white and mine black. For some reason I find that so endearing and cool. They really are great vehicles. I have no trouble driving in inclement weather or pushing through heavy snow. I am ready for whatever Mother Nature throws at me! Woo Hoo AWD! Other than that, just waiting to hear from the bank and looking at floor samples, paint color combos and watching way too much HGTV! I'll letcha know when it all comes together and send pics! Love you!
