Just finished hemming my own pants! Thanks Mom! Couldn't have done it with out having listened and watched you ALL of those MANY times! I finally did it by myself! :) I feel like I could do anything!! I could conquer the world!!!
We had a crazzzzyyy party the other night for Australian Day. There was a nice mix of international people there. Oh yeah, it was also a couch surfing party, so of course we had a bunch of weirdos :P
Tomorrow night there will be an AUF WIEDERSEHEN party for Amy and I. Last I heard she is also moving to Berlin. To the same district I will be in! I dunno, she's kind of flip flopping back and fourth. We'll see if it happens.
I'm really trying to be optimistic for my internship. I have some great ideas that I've already written out. I want to find out how the organization operates and what kind of problems its having. I've already experienced some. People don't know who does what and job descriptions are not clear. I would like to find out what the company's goals and visions are, I have a feeling they are unclear as well. Overall, it seems to be a bit behind the times as well. Not a very detailed website, no Twitter account!?
Twitter is facebook for interesting people and organizations. You wont hear about those boring average things like how drunk Aunt Sally got last night or why Tommy just broke up with Bobby... uhhmm,, yeah.
You can choose which news organizations to follow such as Forbes or BBCWorld. You can also follow President Obama, the Hip Chipmunk, the Dali Lama, Walmart Specials, or Steve Martain. Its like your little customized slice of the world :)
Then you also get people to follow you... Somehow my followers went down to 17 a couple days ago :( But I still have FlavaFlav!! If I make my posts interesting and specific enough, I could get a big following!
You know those couple of days before you start a new job, or move to a new place, or into a new big city... Yeah well I've got all of that going on at once right now so.... kind of feeling a bit overwhelmed. But I know once I get on that train... And sit with my laptop, 4 hour workweek book, delish European cappuccino,.. and perhaps the latest Zeitung... I'll feel those feelings of adventure, excitement, and passion. The sky will sparkle and seem brighter, and everything will seem more vivid yet at the same time, surreal.
I've got a blank slate here people! I can be whoever I want, and do whatever I want!
Bittersweet actually... Cuz... well I'll have to dedicate 9 hours of my day to being at ONE place. Oh yeah, and I'll have to do something..something.. uhm... what was that called again... Oh yeah, WORK!!! NNNOOOOO!!!!
I've forgotten what its like to work! I've had such a lovely past 1.5 years! And now I have to WORK again!?!?!?! NNNOOOOOOOOO
DONT MAKEEEE MEEEEE DOO IT!!!

Twitter, 4 Hour Workweek
Twitter is cool. Cool people have Twitter. Do you have Twitter?
The book the 4-Hour Workweek is really cool. :P The ideas definitely tie in with all of the marketing classes I've been taking.
My next class is Management Information Systems. One of the requirements on my book list was a webcam. I have to do online presentations with my webcam and upload them to the class website. COOL!
I was just talking to Matze about creating a YouTube channel a couple nights ago when I found that out. Today I was reading more in my "The 4-Hour Workweek" book. I like it :) I'm not going to go and and on about all of the cool stuff inside of it. ... so... yeah...
Now I'm going to write a summary of 4 chapters I've read in my ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION book and upload them to my school website. Then I'm going to go to a party in the city for AUSTRALIAN DAY. There are going to be a lot of Australians there. And some New Zealanders. They are crazy people. :o) I like crazy people. I am crazy.
Thanks for reading and follow me on Twitter!

The countdown to.....
BERLIN!
Last night I started making a 'vision board'... but well, it's really like a vision-piece-of-paper. It fits inside my organizer. I love my organizer! I'm excited to start using it again!
I put a picture of Thailand in it.

I want to see that cool looking rock.
Here is the plan: If you're adventurous, curious, and awesome.... You will come to Berlin to meet me there right after I finish my internship. We will have an adventure in Germany, then head to Thailand so I can see that rock. :o)
Who knows, perhaps it will be the time of your life.
On my vision-piece-of-paper I also put pictures of jumbo jets flying across breathtaking sunsets, sophisticated looking silhouettes of women... and words describing personal goals/visions.
I'm hoping my vision-piece-of-paper will help me keep my eye on the prize. Only a small percentage of the population writes down personal goals. Maybe its because no one wants to write them down. Maybe SEEING actual pictures of your goals is easier... instead of only keeping them in your head. That way, when you loose sight... you can look at the pictures to help remind yourself.

Gettin Groovy Baby
Above pictures are from a recent night out. Friends featured include crazy Amy from Australia.. Oh, that sounds kind of cool (she's in the middle). Also featured are Olivia (also a bit crazy, in a good way of course!) from New Zealand, and Amy's true love Andy from Switzerland!
Bottom picture is a recent creation of baked ziti with eggplant parm and salad :)
Yeah I'm back to the grind; back in the groove... it feels good!
German class every day….Busy with online school work, preparing for my praktikum in Berlin.
German class was pretty cool today. As a class discussion, we talked about Germany, the land, the weather, the food, the people.. their attitudes, the good things, the bad things.. etc….
Then we each talked about our own countries and compared them with Germany. It was really interesting to listen to how other people feel about German culture. And the best part is that my class is VERY diverse.
So I got to hear my classmates from: Macedonia, Russia, France, Australia, Malaysia, Serbia, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Croatia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Israel, Romania and South Korea talk about their people, their land, and how they're different from Germany. It was really great!! How did I get so lucky?!?! LOVE IT!
Other than that everything is going well. I’m organizing a GIRLS NIGHT OUT to see the local hockey team! The Mannheim Adlers! As you should know from reading past blog posts, we met the Adlers during a fun night out together. So I thought it would be good to go see them and my girlfriends from Mannheim before some of them move away, including ME!
We are also organizing a ‘clothes swap’. That’s when poor students get together and exchange their shitty old clothes. It’s like getting new-old ugly clothes, for free! How FUN! Did I mention we get to drink wine and talk bad about boys... but isn’t that what girls do best?

Das Mannheimer Wetter!
So it has been SSOSOSOOOO warm here lately! Get this, the temperature reached a high of 57 yesterday! WOW! I was so loving it outside... taking a nice stroll through the warm city weather :P :P
I was just wondering how all of my friends and family were doing in the cold cold cold Michigan snow! MUUAHAHAH!!
Thanks for the blog comments blogger(s)! Nice to see some activity around here.
Yes, I have been doing some great cooking lately. I'm even surprising myself! What I have found is that, with basic cooking skills and some good spices, it is quite easy to follow any simple recipe! WoooHHOOO!!! It's a miracle!
On another note, unfortunately it seems as though my WG (apartment) in Berlin has fallen through, back to www.wg-gesucht.de!
I have re-written my profile so it is in both German AND English, hoping to appeal to a larger audience. In addition, my 'initial contact email' will now be in German. Perhaps I was scaring away potential roommates with my frightening English letter??
Still, I'm not too worried about finding a place. There seems to be a good assortment of apartments available, perhaps I'll just have to be a little less picky.

Post- New Year
Hay Blog readers-
So over the last few days I have been quite the busy cooker! Monday night I cooked for a dinner party of 5. My menu included miso soup, sushi, yellow curry chicken, and a fattoush salad! The miso soup was kinda gross (LOL) but everything else was good :) Especially the sushi! I love making sushi!
Here is a pic of my friends.

Here you can see my sushi and German schnitzel.

Last night I made real German schnitzel and Swabian(ish) (that's southern German) potato salad. My potato salad was freakin great, and the schnitzel was awesome! Today I made Chinese fried rice and tomato sauce for tomorrow's baked ziti and egg plant Parmesan. Well, thats dinner... lunch will be authentic Thai Pho soup. It has to cook for like 5 or 6 hours.. so it better be damn delicious. :P
Tomorrow my online class officially starts.. but I haven't received my book in the mail yet!! AAHH!! Even better yet tomorrow is ANOOOTTHHEERRR holiday!! OMG!!
I found an apartment in Berlin! My roommate is a very nice girl! The best part is that I can WALK TO WORK!!! WOOOO!!! Not so great is that I live next to the train tracks!! :( :( Oh well--- I'll wear ear plugs or something. :p
My house is nice and the kitchen is great! Good for cooking! :) Also-- not that expensive! Only 300 euros per month!
Wow, I just re-read what I wrote and I'm kind of exhausted--- thats a lot of exclamation points! Guess I'm just kind of excited to share all the news- I've been a bit behind.
New Year's was great! I had a wonderful time with Matze and his friends in Heidelberg. We drank sekt (sparkling wine), watched some fire works, talked in German and English, and Matze and I danced on the dance floor before arriving back at home around 5am.
Here: Check out this random video I took while in the club.
Excuse the weird drunk German guy... who was that anyway...?
Saturday I have to make muffins for a friend's birthday party. The 'theme' is sports meets glamour... hhmm... Oh sorry, that's British English. See that a lot around these parts.
Officially, I would like to set a 'Finally visit Jen in Europe date' for June of this year. Get urself together people! This may be your last chance for a while! Take advantage of having an awesome travel guide who will take good care of you and also having other people to travel with, which will definitely lower travel costs. If you book your plane tickets now.. you will save some cash!
Having me to help plan your travels is great- because everyone knows the most awesome part of traveling is doing it, and the worst part is planning it! :P
