Home Again!!

Hay guys! Sorry I haven't posted the Scotland video blog entry yet. I've been busy since I've been home working on presentations and case study proposals!! As well get this- when I got home late on Monday night.. walked over to my bike ready to hit the pedals and make my way home.. NO BIKE! That's right, its gone!

Now I thought I had bad luck with bikes after my first one broke, then my new one got a flat tire, and my pedal fell off in the middle of the street...not to mention the bruises and bone spur memories I have from all the accidents.. NOW MY BRAN NEW BIKE IS GONE!

I'm not sure if it was stolen, or taken by the police for illegal parking (couldn't read what the sign said).. but either way I'm pretty annoyed and tomorrow I will go to the police station and try to figure out what the deal is.

Other than that I feel great! I had an amazing time in scotland. Okay the whether was FREEZING COLD, cloudy, and a bit rainy.. so maybe not as breathtakingly beautiful and relaxing as Marseille, HOWEVER... it was so INTERESTING! I learned so many things not just about the history of Scotland, and the city of Edinburgh, but about europe in general! It was really cool to try the national dish - 'Haggis'.. dude,, look it up man!

And I am so excited to leave for Amsterdam this weekend .. I'm going with the ESN & Matthias, then on the way home I will stop in Eindhoven (5th largest city in Holland) and stay in a nice hotel and check out the city :p

Then the weekend following that I will be in Bremen for the Christmas market (that's Germany for you geographically challenged fellow Americans.) Can't believe how much I'm learning- outside of school! Love it! A lot about culture and global geography as well as language, people, and myself.. uhm am I missing anything!??!

I propose to have my Scotland blog video up by Friday evening :)

Check back for it!!

Busy, busy, busy, going here, going there, and doing this, doing that. Whew, you are having the time of your life. I would wish that it never end but then you would never return home. I would rather have you back home - eventually, preferably soon…

Happy turkey day! Sorry to learn about your missing bike. Maybe it's just AWOL (Absent Without Leave) and will return to you post-haste.

Yuck, I googled haggis. YUCK! You can have it; I don't want it.

I'm glad that you are learning so much - good for you!

You're statement, "Can't believe how much I'm learning- outside of school" is prophetic. I think that the day will come in your life when you realize that your time in Europe spent outside of class is your education. School is just an excuse to be there.

Love,
Dad

That is quite a drag about your bike sister...hopefully it's just a matter of wrongful parking and you'll get it back post haste.
I'm just about ready to leave for Lea's. I made pumpkin cheesecake and a sweet potato casserole from scratch...yummmmm. Hard work, but so worth it. Wish you were here to nosh with us. I'm sure though that flitting about Europe is more than a fair trade for a holiday or two away from the fam.
I agree with Dad comletely on the last point he made about the 'time outside of school' being your real education. Soak it up girl...this will be with you the rest of your life.
Love you! Happy Turkey Day!

Dad- My bike is officially missing, and I am once again bikeless.. HOW DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO ME!? I guess i should look on the bright side--- at least I'm having bike problems, not car problems.. that would be muuuuch worse!

Gus-I never got my thanksgiving dinner :( Kind of sad.. I actually pretty much starved that night.. Hearing about your delicious food makes me hungry right now! Next year's thanksgiving I think you should bring an extra wheelchair.
